Fundraising & Development Fellow

The Fundraising and Development Fellow plays a critical role in grant research, writing, and submission activities. They will be responsible for supporting Equanimity Foundation (EQF) in tasks related to fundraising. The Fundraising and Development Fellow will be responsible for building a funding pipeline using online databases and other sources, identifying potential private and public funders whose goals align with our capabilities and mission. The Fundraising and Development Fellow will also assist in preparing materials and submitting grant applications as well as responding to requests for information from funders. This role falls under the EQF Global Fellows Program.

Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Fundraising research to identify potential private and public funders

  • Work in a team to prepare and submit grant proposals

  • Help create a donor database and fundraising pipeline

  • Organize and schedule meetings and appointments

  • Review and help compile donor lists

  • Draft correspondence, reports, thank yous and other donor notes

  • Take meetings minutes

Skills Required

  • Previous experience working in non-profit organizations is a plus

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or recently graduated student

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems

  • Reporting and administrative skills

  • Fluent in English 

  • Fluency in another language is highly desirable but not required

Communication

  • Clearly articulates ideas and thoughts verbally and in writing

  • Accurately prepares written materials that are coherent, grammatically correct, effective, and professional

  • Listens to others and accepts constructive feedback from team members
