Research Fellow, International Relations

The Research Fellow for International Relations plays a critical role in Equanimity Foundation’s international relations initiatives. They will be responsible for supporting Equanimity Foundation (EQF) in tasks related to research and grant writing. The Research Fellow for International Relations will be responsible for conducting background research and literature reviews, developing creative initiatives in the international relations space, and managing a database of centers and initiatives related to global development. The Research Fellow for International Relations will also assist in writing and editing content, tracking news related to international relations, and providing logistical support during meetings. This role falls under the EQF Global Fellows Program, Summer 2021 Cohort.

Detailed Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Conduct background research, literature reviews, data compilation, and analysis for various research projects, reports, and presentations

  • Manage a database of centers, initiatives, and/or scholars in the international relations space

  • Work with the Research team to develop creative initiatives in the international relations space

  • Work with the Fundraising team to prepare high-impact, well-researched proposals and reports relating to international relations

  • Assist with writing and editing content, including research memos and briefs, blog posts, book chapters, and other publications, as needed

  • Track news reports that are relevant, including scanning international news outlets and providing synopses

  • Assist in logistical support for meetings

Minimum Skill Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in international relations issues

  • Strong writing, research, proofreading, and editing skills

  • Some previous research experience

  • Fluency in English is required; Fluency in another language (including but not limited to French, Arabic, or Spanish) is strongly preferred

  • Graduate student or recent graduate with a concentration in international relations, politics, regional studies, languages, political science, history, or a related field
